From February 2025, the Norwegian Church Arts Centre (in partnership with the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama),

will become a host venue for our new resident ensemble – The VITA Quartet.

The VITA Quartet

The Vita Quartet are a vibrant, dynamic, and experienced string quartet formed in 2024 at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

The quartet comprises of postgraduate students Tatyana Wearen (violin), Non Morgan (violin), Lucy Varney (viola) and Eleonora Savvidou (cello).

They are grateful to receive regular coaching from the Fibonacci and Carducci quartets, and the Quartet are excited to make their London debut at the Royal Court Theatre in 2025; they’re also very much looking forward to developing their partnership with the Norwegian Church Arts Centre over the coming year.

We wish them all the best and a warm welcome to the team at the Norwegian Church Arts Centre. Croeso cynnes i chi.

The Quartet are available to book to perform at events, parties and weddings – either at the Norwegian Church Arts Centre or elsewhere.

Hijinx Theatre

Hijinx is a professional theatre company working to pioneer, produce and promote opportunities for actors with learning disabilities and/or autism to create outstanding productions. Hijinx has a community strand, called PAWB, of which the group Odyssey and the band Vaguely Artistic are a part.

Odyssey is an inclusive community theatre group featuring a mixture of actors with learning disabilities and/or autism, and neurotypical actors who perform together as equal partners. Each December, the Odyssey company produces a Christmas show at Wales Millennium Centre, which is supported by a professional production team.

Vaguely Artistic is Hijinx’s in-house inclusive punk, rock, pop, soul, blues and funk band. Whilst writing their own original tracks and sharing them loudly and proudly, they play everything from the Beatles to Iggy Pop and Reef. The band is a regular feature at Hijinx’s Unity Festival Closing Night Party. They have released their new album, available on Band Camp and on all major streaming services.

Both groups use the spaces provided in the Norwegian Church for their sessions and rehearsals.
